A POSITIVE DECISION THAT MADE HIM A SERIAL ENTREPRENEUR
How a once-dropout turned into a serial entrepreneur by making a wise choice
At the age of 22, he made a wise decision that altered his life for the better. This is where his narative began.
Joe Abass Bangura, the fourth child out of six, was born to a parent who were both impoverished and illiterate. A one-bedroom house was were they all lived in.
They stuggled to provide for their basic needs, and their parents just had no money to see that they finished high school. Whatever life had in store for them and the rest, was up to them.
Joe Abass Bangura walked out of school at age 17 and started his first job as a piece rate at a palm oil mill, where he earns $10 per month, resulting in him failing his final high school exams with the worst scores.
He was fortunate to find a mentor who completely changed his life. He began making better decisions. He returned to school, retook his high school exams, passed them, and then went on to become a chartered certified accountant and later, a Hubert Humphrey Fellow at Syracuse University in New York.
He is now a serial enterpreneur, business coach, keynote speaker, CEO & Founder of Life By Design Group of companies.
Life's lessons to learn from the story of Joe Abass Bangura:
- Don't let mistakes define you as a failure
- Failure is just an opportunity to start again and again, more intelligently.
