TRANSFORMING FROM A FACTORY LABORER, TO A SERIAL ENTREPRENEUR.

The first and only handmade environmentally friendly paper bags in Sierra Leone were created by Alhaji Ahmad Siraj Bah. He was an 18 years old factory labourer, who saved $20 to launch his startup busines known as, Rugsal Trading Company.

Alhaji Siraj Bah was born in a desolate and outlying community in Sierra Leone's eastern region.

He was forced to dropout of school and leave home to look for employment in the nation's capital, Freetown, to support himself and his mother after losing his father at the age of 13. His single mother was also struggling to pay his school fees.

He eventually succeeded in getting a job as a laborer in a factory that produced pure water. He managed to save $20 in order to launch his business. At that time, he established Rugsal Trading Company. Because of its success, Rugsal Trading Company has grown abroad.

His business now generates about $5000 in monthly sales and directly and indirectly employs 38 people. These include 20 agents who act as distrubutors and earn commissions, and along with eight full-time and ten part-time employees. His employees range in age from 16 to 53.

Ahaji Siraj Bah's life lesson!

If you really set your mind to it, no desire is insurmountable.
